The NiteBite is designed to use proprioception to trigger the jaw opening reflex. This reflex of the mandibular depressor muscles allows the jaw muscles to begin the process of relaxation. Pathologic muscle engrams and parafunction are relieved as the mandible comes to rest at the physiologic rest position.

NiteBite is less than 2 mm. thick. There are no contacts with the lower teeth in the freeway space. No eccentric contact. No premature contact. There is freedom to achieve centric relation. NiteBite is the first occlusal appliance designed and patented not to intrude into the freeway space. All other bite devices function primarily as barriers between the teeth that intrude on the freeway space, thereby preventing the jaw from achieving the physiologic rest position.

This exam is performed with every cleaning. Used to assess soft and hard tissues in the mouth.

This is not a typical cleaning. A debridement is a procedure to remove thick or dense deposits on the teeth. It is used when the patient has too much plaque and calculus and inflammation to be able to do a comprehensive exam.

Also known as a deep cleaning. Usually a two-step procedure. The goal is to thoroughly scale/clean all plaque, bacterial toxins, and calculus deposits from teeth and root surfaces.

This procedure is similar to a standard cleaning, however, there is more scaling and root planning in the deep areas between the gums and teeth under your gums. Basically, more square footage to clean and usually more buildup of calculus.

In-office whitening using a tray pre-loaded with whitening gel. Sit under a high-intensity light to experience a brightening of the teeth. Always need to assess conditions of mouth before treatment.

A thin plastic coating painted on the chewing surfaces of teeth, usually the back teeth, to prevent decay. Forms a protective shield over the enamel.

Images of teeth used to evaluate dental health. Low levels of radiation. Digital images of the interior of teeth and bone. Used to identify pathology.

Fluoride is great for many issues in the mouth: however, it also has contraindications for use.  Always open for discussion.
